By accessing or using the Sol Life website and services ("Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use our Services.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Sol Life ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, and such modifications will be effective immediately upon posting.
2. Description of Services
Sol Life provides solar energy solutions, including:
- Solar panel installation services
- Energy consultation and assessment
- Solar system design and planning
- Financing assistance and information
- Maintenance and support services
- Online tools and calculators
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of our Services at any time without notice.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into contracts to use our Services. By using our Services, you represent and warrant that:
- You are at least 18 years of age
- You have the legal authority to enter into these Terms
- You will comply with all applicable laws and regulations
- All information you provide is accurate and complete
4. User Accounts
To access certain features of our Services, you may be required to create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent or illegal activities.
5. Solar Installation Services
5.1 Consultation and Assessment
Our consultation services are provided for informational purposes. Final installation plans and costs will be determined after a comprehensive site assessment.
5.2 Installation Agreement
Solar installation services are subject to a separate installation agreement. The installation agreement will include:
- Detailed scope of work
- Pricing and payment terms
- Timeline and milestones
- Warranty information
- Maintenance requirements
5.3 Permits and Approvals
We will assist with obtaining necessary permits and approvals, but installation is contingent upon receiving all required permits, utility approvals, and homeowner association approvals (if applicable).
6. Pricing and Payment
All prices are subject to change without notice. Payment terms will be specified in your installation agreement. You agree to:
- Pay all fees and charges according to the agreed payment schedule
- Provide accurate payment information
- Pay any applicable taxes
- Notify us of any billing disputes within 30 days
Late payments may be subject to interest charges and collection costs.
7. Cancellation and Refund Policy
7.1 Consultation Services
Initial consultations may be cancelled up to 24 hours before the scheduled appointment without penalty.
7.2 Installation Services
Cancellation terms for installation services will be specified in your installation agreement. Generally:
- Cancellations before work begins: Full refund minus administrative fees
- Cancellations after work begins: Refund of unearned portion minus costs incurred
- Cancellations after installation: Subject to restocking and removal fees
7.3 Right to Cancel
You may have a legal right to cancel within a certain period under applicable consumer protection laws. Please refer to your installation agreement for specific cancellation rights.
8. Warranties and Guarantees
8.1 Product Warranties
Solar panels and equipment come with manufacturer warranties. Warranty terms vary by product and will be provided in your installation agreement.
8.2 Installation Warranty
We warrant that our installation work will be performed in a professional and workmanlike manner. Installation warranties typically cover:
- Workmanship defects
- Roof penetration leaks
- Electrical connections
8.3 Performance Estimates
Energy production estimates are based on historical data and assumptions. Actual performance may vary due to weather, shading, system maintenance, and other factors. We do not guarantee specific energy production levels.
9. Intellectual Property Rights
All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, images, software, and designs, is the property of Sol Life or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission
- Use our trademarks or branding without authorization
- Reverse engineer or decompile any software
- Remove copyright or proprietary notices
10. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use our Services for any illegal purpose
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringe on the rights of others
- Transmit viruses, malware, or harmful code
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Interfere with the proper functioning of our Services
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Collect user information without consent
11. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except where prohibited by law.
You may also have the right to bring claims in small claims court if they qualify. Class action lawsuits and jury trials are waived.
12. SMS/Text Messaging Terms & A2P Compliance
Consent to Receive Text Messages
By providing your mobile phone number and agreeing to these Terms, you expressly consent to receive text messages (SMS) from Sol Life Energy and our authorized representatives. These messages may include:
- Appointment confirmations and reminders
- Installation updates and scheduling notifications
- Service alerts and system performance updates
- Marketing messages about our solar products and services
- Account information and billing notifications
- Customer satisfaction surveys
Message Frequency & Charges
Message frequency varies depending on your preferences and service needs. You may receive up to 10 messages per month for marketing purposes, and additional transactional messages as needed for service delivery. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier's plan. Sol Life Energy does not charge for text messages, but your carrier's standard messaging rates apply.
Opt-Out Instructions
You can opt out of receiving text messages at any time by:
- Replying "STOP" to any text message from us
- Texting "UNSUBSCRIBE" to our messaging number
- Calling us at (555) 123-4567
- Emailing us at privacy@sollifeenergy.com
After opting out, you will receive one final confirmation message. Please note that opting out of marketing messages will not affect essential service communications related to your solar installation or account.

Carrier Requirements & Limitations
Text messaging services are available on most major U.S. carriers including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, and others. Service may not be available on all carriers or in all areas. Sol Life Energy and mobile carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy & Data Usage
Your mobile phone number and text messaging preferences are subject to our Privacy Policy. We will not share your mobile number with third parties for their marketing purposes without your explicit consent. Standard data usage charges from your mobile carrier may apply.
A2P Compliance
Sol Life Energy complies with all applicable Application-to-Person (A2P) messaging regulations, including FCC guidelines and carrier requirements. Our messaging practices adhere to industry standards for consent, content, and delivery. We maintain proper registration with The Campaign Registry (TCR) and follow all CTIA Messaging Principles and Best Practices.
Changes to SMS Terms
We reserve the right to modify these SMS terms at any time. Changes will be communicated through our website, email, or text message. Continued use of our text messaging services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
13. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- OUR SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND
- WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES
- OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR OUR SERVICES
- WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR DELAYS OR FAILURES DUE TO CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND OUR CONTROL
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Sol Life, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of our Services, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any rights of another party.
15. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action must be brought in the state or federal courts located in California.
16. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
17. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any installation agreements, constitute the entire agreement between you and Sol Life regarding the use of our Services and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
